Passing by the Mayor of Athens’ building, you head to “Athina” Street, one of the busiest streets in Athens. Feel the morning vibes when the shop owners get ready for a business day. We are going to explain the practices of food commerce, the soul of Greek life, which have existed for thousands of years.

We will visit the fish, meat, vegetable, and spice market. After that, we enter to a more diverse side of Athens, through “Geraniou” Street, a multicultural hidden neighborhood. We will spend our time in the heart of Athens, and we explain all about the Greek culture, food, and habits.

While exploring Athenian markets, we will experience local produce and we will have the opportunity to pick out all the local favorites, such as Mediterranean fruits, vegetables, meat, and cheese.

Moving on, we will explore the bazaar streets of “Ifaistou” and “Pandrossos”, discovering handicrafts and other specialties such as leather sandals, handmade icons, Greek musical instruments, and antiques. Here is the perfect place to feel the authentic vibes of the bustling Athens market culture.

We will finish our tour with a cup of tea within one of the best spicy markets in the center of Athens. We will explain, see, and smell many different Greek spices with Greek origin.
